NOSAJ THING

Nosaj Thing is my favourite artist right now. He's an electronic music artist based in Los Angeles. His tunes are mysterious and dream like; you could listen to them in a club or at home. literally anywhere. He's done some beautiful remix's of songs from the likes of Drake, The XX, Radiohead and Flying Lotus. His first album's called Drift. Definitely have a listen and I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Buy the album from Amazon.

Oriental boys always make cool things

:KIM SIMONSSON:

Was trying to pick a piece to study the other day in the V&A and I was like yawwn I don't want to see another vase or old bit of piping and then bang, a small girl (not much smaller than me) shone through. I drew her, then I threw it away because it was so bad. Anyway, if your into dreams of another world of  glazed children playing with glazed animals then you've come to the right land.

Simonsson's figures are made out of ceramics, clay and glass with a touch of Gold and Silver, often covered in a thick white glaze making them look like porcelain. His style is has Japanese/Manga characteristics with the big eyes, wacky hairstyles, young girls and the pure sleek modernity of it all. His work questions the role of the child and nature in the modern world.

:RING$:

Stephen Webster's 7 Deadly Sin's rings collection; the only nice one being the first one 'Wrath' the rest are all too tacky and cheap looking even though they range from £15,000 to £98,000. I'd go through most of the sins to get first one.

:DIA DE LOS MUERTOS:

Day of the Dead (2nd Nov)

Is a holiday celebrated in Mexico which focuses on remembering the dead. Scholars trace the origins of the holiday to indigenous observances dating back thousands of years and to an Aztec festival dedicated to a goddess called Mictecacihuatl.

When the Spanish began arriving in the 16th century, they were offended by the Day of the Dead, and saw it as a pagan holiday. Most particular, the Spanish were appalled at the Day of the Dead art, which they saw as gruesome and morbid.

SEA HORSES 4 EVA: GEKKO ACID RIDE:

Now this video went viral for a while and it always makes me laugh when I come back to it. If you havent seen it what it's said to be is a reocrding of a man trippin on acid whilst in a cupboard. A animation of a gekko was added to convey what this guy who was trippin ball$ was seeing at the time. So if you were ever thinking of getting fucked up in a cupboard here's a little taster of what to expect on your magical and journey in which you think you've experienced beyond yourself but really you've been sitting in a  IKEA cupboard for 6 hours stroking a spoon.
